This is the story of our crazy little family. We do not claim to have it all worked out perfectly. We do not claim to be experts. What we do know is that everyday is a new adventure. Everyday there will be some tears, some laughter, some anger, some misunderstandings, some joy, some sorrow and a whole lot of happiness and love! That is how we know we are doing some things right!

The latest crazy week

Well last week my family from Colorado came and rented a house in Manasquan. We got to enjoy the 4th with them as well as days spent down at the beach. On the 3rd everyone headed to Aunt Sue's house in Rumson to watch the Rumson and Red Bank fireworks. It was a great time! (that's where the first picture on this site comes from) Monday nights in the summer has become a tradition to our family. About two years ago we began heading to DJais in Belmar for Oldies Night with the cousins as well as the parents. We have a blast every time we go. This year we got to introduce Rich, Brenda, and Patrick to our tradition.

This past week Dave and I were also able to finally finish our registry. The entire experience was a bit overwhelming. Between starting off with items on the list that were girl oriented, to switching some items to be more neutral (incase we decide to have another baby) and then items that were on there some people could not find and then when they were found on the registry they were out of stock in the stores. Hopefully now everything should be on there and available in the stores. We are crossing our fingers.
A baby update:
We have been back to the doctor since the last time I updated. The baby's heart rate was perfect, the growth along my stomach is right where it should be in relation to how many weeks we are along, and all blood tests done so far have come back with no concerns for myself or the baby. Hopefully we are going to be putting together the nursery a bit more this week...well at least paint will be on the walls.I will try and post pictures when the work is complete.

Recent Ultrasound

Our baby girl sucking her thumb in our most recent ultrasound photo. At that point, which was at the end of May she weighed 13 ounces. Since then I have begun to feel her kicking and moving about all the time. She is a very active little girl already!

Disney

We went to Disney World with Dave's parents, brother and sister-in-law. It was extremely hot while we were there but Dave and I had an awesome time together.

Got to meet some of our favorite characters!

One night we all went to the Hoop-De-Doo Revue

The Topolewski Family

With both of our lives becoming so busy lately, we believed that this was a great way to keep in touch with family members that we do not get to see often as well as capture our memories.

There are many changes arising. One of which was the news of Lindsay being pregnant. We found out in February that we were expecting, and more recently found out that we were having a girl. We are very excited about our news and are quickly preparing ourselves for our new lifestyles that are about to emerge.

Right now I am about 28 weeks!! I have been feeling great thus far, and thankfully have not been sick yet. I have been trying to stay as active as possible throughout the pregnancy, for two reasons (1) to not gain a large amount of weight (2) so I do not get a "placenta" brain (as they say). It was pretty easy to do so during the first and second trimesters because I was teaching kindergarten classes all day. Those young ones can keep you busy. But now that it is summer time and with no teaching job prospects for next year yet, I have been focused on setting up the nursery as well as learning all important information about our new addition to the family.

Dave has been staying busy with his successful Coldstone stores. He enjoys working with the people there, especially Lindsay's sister and his best buddy Ray. With the summer in full swing it has been keeping him busy, yet he seems to still find time to enjoy playing golf with his buddies. (Better enjoy all this free time now..I am sure our little girl will keep him busy next spring)

We hope to keep updating this and posting pictures. Our daughter has already experienced a great deal of excitement while in her mommy's belly. Here are some photos of how our summer has been going thus far.
